CIEN and
networkers
OT - Not clear to me why the networkers, led by CIEN, are all
stalling/falling (CIEN down 4% today on no news I can find - after
previously falling from $21 to $20 the share loss has overwhlemed
the gain from covered calls), and a lot of 'neutral' ratings coming
from analysts. Yes, CIEN had a 'meh' quarter, but nothing
disastrous, but the idea of bandwidth exposion seems to have
evaporated. Why? The glaring exception is INFN, which after a two
day swoon is stronger than ever, on the wings of a Jeffries upgrade
today from $17 to $25 PT. Yes, right now they're the cream of the
crop (appreciating too fast, perhaps), but ALU, CIEN, CSCO et. al.
are suddenly 'going down, if not nowhere? Info welcomed - I don't
see the driver downward.
