(I'll have to mention to Rod that the board is still called ERTS
here...)
#1 in UK weekly chart, biggest all-formats release of the year
which isn't a surprise given the competition was basically Dying
Light and a 3DS only Zelda.
The site bfhstats.com/
tracks current online players and the peaks of each platform for
the last 24 hours. The sum of each platforms peak so far is 283K
which was yesterday, with PS4 ahead of XB1 (though not by anywhere
close to the sales divide between the consoles), and the new
consoles playerbase outnumbering the legacy consoles by 8:1.
In October 2011 EA proudly announced BF3 had sold through 5M in
its first week. The actual playerbase for BFH will be higher than
the peak concurrent users of 283K, but it still looks a stretch to
assume it'll be anywhere close to BF3, or even probably BF4
imo.
CAG posted the details of some upcoming retailer weekly sales
last night, and Best Buy has BF Hardline for $39.99 all platforms
starting this Sunday, which means other retailers will match. From
$60 to $40 in under 2 weeks.
