COD and DLC
Re: ATVI Had an experience this morning that got me to
thinking about DLC for COD. About a month ago my son bought COD:AW
and the first DLC from GME (actually a code). The 2nd DLC came out
today, new maps, and he had $22 and wanted to buy the 2nd DLC, but
he also wanted the season pass. So we ended up buying the season
pass (he has more chores to do now!). I wonder how many folks buy a
DLC and then the season pass such that you get no discount and the
only advantage are the season pass perks (guns?).
Last night at soccer (including my son) 4 boys were talking
about getting the DLC today. They are all 11. I wonder if COD is
moving/skewing to a younger age group? If so, how does that affect
DLC? I have not really followed ATVI closely for awhile. Do more
parents buy the DLC for their kids or not vs. 18+ crowd with their
own money?
Any thoughts?
