OT - NOK - NOK may be languishing in the doldrums right now
but....ZD Net has an article today the headline reads: 'Think
Google Fiber is Fast?. NOK to preview technology that's 1,000 times
faster.' But body of story intimates that the uses of such tech may
have limited applications, if I'm reading that right.

I have read stories about technologies that are in the TB/s
range, but implementation on a useful scale is problematic. We
shall see. In the meantime, I am 1-2 months away from 1GB/s
internet - our neighborhood is currently being updated. My friend
has it and says he gets ~800Mb download and 333MB upload speeds. I
will take that vs. my current 20MB and 1MB!
