OT - INFN
earnings

OT - Not that I'm a stat maven by any means. But
cursorily reading the figures on INFN's earnings, I don't see why
they're up AH. The -.08 miss is higher than the -.07 consensus. The
numbers y/o/y of course are not good. In the short remarks by
Fallon, it seems to me that he's saying, "Yes, as we thought, we've
underperformed. But going forward we will.....

Those 'we will' comments are so often the 'kiss of death',
lol. Promises, promises - In my imagination, every time a CEO
reports unhappy news and then starts with 'we will.....' I picture
the analysts looking at him with an expression that says, "When do
you think *we* got a lobotomy? Are we really supposed to get 'happy
feet' with that?

Still, if I read it right - an
'up' is an 'up' AH. Maybe I'm missing something - may be, as I'm on
a limited computer that probably is delaying everything by 20
mins.

There is confusion over the EPS, Briefing.com has a issued a
"correction" stating that INFN's adjusted EPS is 5 cents per share,
therefore it actually beat by 5 cents.

lt cap,
Yah - just saw that 'correction' from - 8 to - 5 - I sure hope
that wasn't INFN's error, as they already have enough doubts about
their grip on performance, lol. But it's even more puzzling - on
the loss, they were up to $9.25, now it's just a wide spread
between bid and ask. - 8 = up 5% over the 3% at the close?
What?

The way I read the correction is EPS of +5 cents not EPS of -5
cents
