Accenture Research on G5's
Impact to Economy

lt cap,
The Accenture report certainly seems to equate the digital
revolution about to occur about on a par with aspects of the
industrial revolution. Since we don't know when that'll occurr (the
telecoms seem to be consistenly ingenuous about finding ways to
squeeze every last drop out of the current equipment,) Of course,
'when' is not something that can be accurately predicted, more like
the Heisenber's 'uncertainty prinicple' in which one can assign
probabilities but not precise locations or values. So, waiting is
the only game, if you want to be/are already in the game. Still
$500 bln isn't chump change.
It pains me in a minor way that I sold just about all my
INFN at $8.50 and it seems to be rebounding, relatively speaking.
I'm considering depolying that cash into CSCO, if I dare being even
heavier in the sector. Nice dividend - a bit 'Intel' like, but CSCO
is no INTC, and could crash and burn. Speaking of chips, I glaced
and saw AMD at around $10 recently. We didn't have enough patience,
lol.
Something that nobody has mentioned in a long time is this: Is
the market overvalued, given it's at the pinnacle of forever so
far? I haven't been right about stocks since QE started, so I'm no
wiser now. I can speculate that the 'Trump rally' will beat a fast
retreat when his 'no plan is a plan' starts to get applied to
serious situations - esp. ones involving international issues. I
haven't seen the 'metrics' on valuation, but it feels awfully toppy
to me. But I can, and have been wrong.

Re G5: When is indeed the $$$ Question. Re INFN, it
is still so low that when it restores the revenue growth, it
should head much higher. They just announced their DTN-X with
Terabit line card that allows the DTN-X to scale up to 12Tb IIRC.
This is the product that the management allegedly stated many
customers had delayed purchase for. If true the inflection
point in revenues should be a quarter or two away.

lt cap,
I appreciate your sharing some of the details on what to look
for in INFN's prospects.Next CC is Feb. 9th, I believe. Of
course, nobody, including the analysts, could even venture the
thought of INFN at this level when the fall started. One analyst
did advise holders to stick with it while 'we're traisping through
the sewers." There's a pale recommendation if I ever heard one.

INFN is again below your sell point. Not getting any
tracktion yet. The company needs to reverse the brutal
revenue decline. If it was true that customers delayed
purchases until the new DTN-X came out, growth should come back
within a couple of quarters. They sure will have very easy
comps in the second half.
