lt cap,
Read all the articles. A good sign that despite troubles in the
sector that won't be resolved soon, they're getting good reviews by
analyts who can look forward, which most always seems to count more
than the current state of affairs.
Speaking of which...Grrrr.......Freaking INFN reported today.
Didn't read all the stories on it, but the one I read sounded a bit
confounded today (I may have it wrong) they beat, there was some
'mixing' of the results, and the guidance they got was....very
little, if any predictions for the future. So the stock rises 27%
as a result? What? Like I said, the article said little if any
guidance, but that management souded 'so upbeat' about the future,
that the analysts figure there must be good things ahead. I guess
so....except I'm not really sure how you are
pretty much blank on guidance, but they 'liked the tone'
apparently. That 'tone' was also there in the CC where they
announced the buy of Transmode, and not long after that had a
terrible CC, making it clear that they had no idea of where the
business was heading.
In truth, although I look where I sold it, around $8.50, I
probably wouldn't have waded into that stock again. I was looking
to consider CIEN if it dropped to around $23 and maybe sell some
calls, but they're up in sympathy.
I know I'd best go back and read some more stories to get a
better picture. But do you get a huge upside if you look like you
were sniffing glue just before the CC?
Story was from Motly Fool, but at least their stories are often
useful for facts, a load of BS on recommendations.
