INTC - Announced that 1. It has invented a new transistor technology that will boost cpu power by up to 20%. 2. That comparing 10nm and 7nm is not a straight measure of speed, given the new technology, which will first appear in its laptop chips this fall. 3. That its flexibility in using its own fabs or renting out others (TSMC) is a good thing.

That last statement seem dubious to me. Idle fabs are a drag on the bottom line. As for the rest, either it's INTC trying to cover itself after announcing more delays in getting to 7nm, or they're going to pull another magic rabbit out of the hat to regain the ground they've lost in chip manufacturing.
