The Significance of Obama's first appointment
Open Secrets reports that Rahm Emanuel "was the top House recipient in the 2008 election cycle of contributions from hedge funds, private equity firms and the larger securities/investment industry".[33]
Not one of the top, but THE top recipient. That puts Emanuel in bed with the corrupt investment industry and suggests that there will be no real "change" in Washington D.C. as far as important economic policy as it relates to shareholders is concerned.
